Home > Jessica Holleman, LAc

From early adulthood Jessica has been interested in energy work and natural forms of wellness. She licensed as an esthetician in 2003 and provided natural skin care for years in beautiful spas, completed her massage therapy training in 2007 and then went to Thailand to study Thai Massage. She has practiced and taught yoga and has received treatments of all kinds from acupuncturists, shamans and many energy workers. In 2009 she started the four year Chinese Medicine Master’s program at Daoist Traditions in Asheville, North Carolina and transferred to complete her last two years at Southwest Acupuncture College in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jessica obtained her N.C. license to practice acupuncture in January of 2014.

Jessica feels that everything we do in life adds to our “toolbox,” even the traumas. She understands physical and emotional trauma on a personal level. An emotionally abusive relationship coupled with a physical health crisis gave her the need and want to focus inward, be in stillness and make necessary lifestyle and behavioral changes. She has spent the last five years peeling the onion of her health; treating parasites, latent viruses, trauma and more. This period has given her a great appreciation for lab testing and other aspects of Western functional medicine, psychology and more. She’s been able to use these experiences as a catalyst to learn and grow, and brings this knowledge into the clinic to benefit others.

In practice, Jessica loves helping people with their health puzzles, holding space for people dealing with trauma and treating musculoskeletal pain. In her spare time, she hangs with her tri-pawed senior pup, plays tennis, practices gentle yoga, takes science classes at CFCC, and loves to take her own advice on self-care with massages, acupuncture, chiropractic care, and more.

Jessica focuses her continuing education in the areas of Functional Medicine, Cosmetic Acupuncture, Orthopedics, and emotional trauma care:
Traditional Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation, Cupping & Gua Sha and Micro-needling Facial Rejuventation (Michelle Gellis); Introducing Functional Medicine into the Acupuncture Clinic (Dr. Joel Kahn); Orthopedic Dry Needling; Top Down View of the 5 Elements (Lonny Jarrett)

She has taken multiple classes with Jeffrey Yuen, including: Eight Silk Brocades Qi Gong , Sword Style Tai Chi , Yang Style Tai Chi – Qi Gong, Ling Shu, Luo Vessels, Curious Organs, Divergent Meridians, and Stone Medicine. Other certifications include: Trauma Informed Yoga Teacher, Reiki, Reflexology, LaHo-Chi Energy work, Traditional Thai Yoga Massage.
